__Math Tutoring on Integers__

**Integers** are numbers that belong to the following **Set:**. We can think of this set as **Whole Numbers** combined with the nonzero negative **Whole Numbers**. There are many uses of **Negative numbers**.

For comparing **Integers**** **we use **Inequality Notation**.

*Inequality Notation:*

If we plot two numbers on the number line, the larger number is always to the right and the smaller number is to the left.

*Absolute Value:*

The **Absolute Value** of a number is the numerical distance from zero on a number line. The Distance is always positive. We use vertical bars to represent **Absolute Value.** e.g. **.**

*Opposites:*

**Opposites** are two numbers that are the same distance from zero on the number line. This means they would have the same **Absolute Value** also.
